Communicating innovation. This slogan, used a few years ago by CONDOR’s external relations department, encapulates the attention and importance attributed to communication, via the organization of specific courses for training and site safety. The initiative, undertaken a few years ago, allows the company to offer businesses an important reference point for the training of personnel in the use of new technology and equipment for construction and in spreading the importance of safety in the workplace through themed conferences, sector-based round table meetings and open houses available to the executives of businesses.

CONDOR’s designers and sales managers organize open houses every four months to present products to designers, architects, retailers, construction company managers, construction site managers and workers.
There are three advantages for the client:

  • the possibility of maximising the purchase of CONDOR products;
  • the chance to keep up-to-date with new construction techniques;
  • the chance to adopt and work according to the latest safety regulations.

The courses are held in collaboration with representatives from the Ministry of Labour, the Association of Engineers and the Association of architects, the Association of Construction Workers and academics. As well as theory, they provide practical simulations of the assembling of formwork, scaffolding and high load-bearing pillars on construction sites. In partnership with the Construction Professional Bodies and the CPT centers of the regions of Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany, Abruzzo, Umbria, Lazio, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata and Sicily already more than 5000 people have been trained, both in theory and in practice, to maximise the advantages of the equipment and to work in complete safety on construction sites. Particular attention is aimed at schools. Each year young new graduates are given the opportunity to take formative courses with CONDOR, while, in the past, scholarships have been awarded to new graduates who had graduated by providing a thesis on the subject of electropneumatic automation and robotics at the Università degli Studi di Cassino.
